During the last years, the implementation of computational and communication capabilities in all kind of objects has given traction to the diffusion of the Internet of Things paradigm. Being sensor nodes the main building block of an IoT infrastructure, Wireless Sensor Networks are expected to play an important role in allowing the interconnection between smart devices.
