The data comprises free listings of 11 to 13-year-old adolescents' perceptions regarding wellbeing components. One twenty-five adolescents in New Zealand were asked to list as many components of wellbeing as they could think of. The raw data has been referred to as linguistic unit in the table and the response occurrence of the unit has been mentioned in the second column. The linguistic units were ascribed to component categories based on judgement and review of the pertinent literature
