Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) permit the total degradation (mineralization) in aqueous solutions of hazardous organic molecules for human being and for the environment. This study concerns the application of two main AOPs: electro-Fenton, and photo-Fenton, to treatment of wastewater containing toxic and/or persistent organic pollutants such as textile dyes.
