Devices and trajectories of responsible innovation: problematising synthetic biology

International audienceThis paper focuses on the ‘devices’ of responsible innovation, that is, the material and discursive assemblages that serve to enact the ideal of responsible innovation (such as policy frameworks and public debates). It proposes an analytical approach and research questions to study the trajectories of these devices via their concretisation, institutionalisation, do-ability and the criticisms they raise
