Acute respiratory infections represent one of the major public health problems in children under 5 year of age. Generating between 50 and 70% of all queries, and between 30% and 60% of all hospitalizations. The Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) is a validated worldwide tool adopted now in Colombia that advances in response and solution to the problems in this population. This research evaluates the attention of hospitalized children under 5 year of age with a pneumonia diagnosis in an institution of level II, for which a descriptive study was developed through a review of 58 medical records.
