The occupational factors to which bus drivers of urban public transportation (UPT) are daily exposed can become cardiovascular risk factors (CRF). The aim of this study was to characterize such CRF and its relation with the occupation of UPT driver. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study in 75 UPT drivers in Cali, Colombia. To characterize the demographic, labor and CRF variables we applied a questionnaire based on two validated instruments Tool for Surveillance of Risk Factors of Non-communicable diseases and the Bocanument’s Inventory of Psychosocial Risks.
