Objective To identify adverse events in patients ongoing mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit polyvalent Cienfuegos-Cuba. Methodology Descriptive, prospective study was conducted during the months of august 2015 to february 2016. The universe was composed of 155 patients admitted to the regime under mechanical ventilation during the study period. The international form of the Spanish Society of lntensive Care Medicine and Coronary Units (SEMlCYUC) taking items related to mechanical ventilation was used.
