The consumer’s right to compensation and reparation is an aspect that the United Nations has considered in the Resolution 39/248 regarding the protection of consumers in developing countries. Therefore, the aim of this article is to conduct an analysis of the Colombian consumer law in accordance with the United Nations policy on this issue. Furthermore, we show the legal means that the Colombian law has developed for consumer protection based on the Law No. 1480 of 2011, “Consumer’s Statute”, by analyzing the jurisdictional and administrative actions, as well as the shortcomings of Colombian law on this matter.El derecho del consumidor a la indemnización y reparación, es un aspecto que Naciones Unidas ha contemplado en la Resolución 39/248 ...
