South American Constitutional law has been, since its inception, influenced by European law. However, the rise of indigenous social movements has started a reflection on the foundations of the particular law or the indigenous ancestral law. These concepts have also slowly transformed the Constitutional concept of western court via the introduction of concepts that follows the legal pluralism and historical recovery of aboriginal cultures.
