El sistema interamericano y los derechos humanos

Critical analysis of the functions of the Inter- American System of Human Rights in the Americas in general and Venezuela, in order to establish its scope, and the performance of its two working instruments: the Human Rights Commission and the American Court of Human Rights. It is shown that all human rights treaties and other documents reflect the notion that it is a primary duty of States to protect, respect and promote all human rights. In the case, the theoretical context was supported by authors like Faúndez (2004, 2011), Restrepo (2009), the Court of Human Rights (2012), Ortega (2011), Basch and others (2012), Salviolo (2011), among others. It could be concluded that the Inter-American Court and Commission have been playing an important role in the protection of fundamental rights in the region, like the Inter-American Human Rights is the area increased visibility and prestige has given the Organization of American Americans, giving responsibility to the State in relation to existing systemsAnálisis crítico sobre las funciones del Sistema Interamericano de los Derechos Humanos, en el continente americano en general como de Venezuela, con el fin de establecer sus alcances, así como la actuación de sus dos instrumentos de trabajo: la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos y la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Se trata de demostrar que todos los tratados de Derechos Humanos y otros documentos reflejan la noción de que es un deber primordial de los Estados el proteger, respetar y fomentar todos los Derechos Humanos. Para el caso, el contexto teórico fue sustentado a través de autores como Faúndez (2004, 2011), Restrepo (2009), la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (2012), Ortega (2011), Basch y otros (2012), Salviolo (2011), entre otros. Pudo concluirse que la Corte y la Comisión Interamericanas vienen desempeñando un importante papel en la salvaguarda de los derechos fundamentales en la región, al igual que el Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos es el área que mayor proyección y prestigio le ha dado a la Organización de Estados Americanos, otorgando responsabilidad al Estado en relación con los sistemas existentes
