Les parcs d'attractions se sont, dans les années 90, développés en France comme dans l'ensemble du monde. Ils apparaissent comme des lieux de divertissement spécifiques dans la construction d'une illusion basée souvent sur des contenus culturels et/ou scientifiques sophistiqués. D'où la tentation d'y voir de nouveaux lieux d'éducation qui pourraient servir de modèles aux musées.
