As propriedades mecânicas de polipropileno (PP) reforçado com fibra de vidro (GF) são fortemente influenciadas pelo tipo e grau de interações interfaciais alcançadas, dependendo da eficiência do agente de acoplagem silano e do compatibilizante interfacial polimérico usado no compósito. Compósitos de PP com 30% de GF tratadas com aminosilano foram preparados usando polipropileno funcionalizado com anidrido maleico (PP-g-MAH) como compatibilizante interfacial para modificar as interações interfaciais fibra-polímero.
