Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Melibatkan Orang Tua Untuk Meningkatkan Kecakapan Hidup Anak (Penelitian di Kelompok B Taman Kanak-kanak,Tangerang Selatan Tahun 2016)

This research aimed at developing an instructional involving parents (IIP) model to improve life skills of the kindergarten children. The research was conducted on B groups of Al-Hikmah kindergarten, South Tangerang, on September 2015 until July 2016. The method was used in this research is research and development that was adapted from Borg & Gall model (1983 & 2007) with 10 stages of model development. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires and document studies. The collected data were analyzed descriptively. The effectiveness of the model was measured using t-test. The results of the research are a conceptual model of instructional involving parents, a procedural model of instructional involving parents, and a physical model of instructional involving parents. The physical model consists of four books: a general guide for kindergarten teacher, general guide for parents,instructional materials for kindergarten teacher, and instructional materials for parents. This research concluded that the instructional involving parents model was effectively proven to improve the life skills of kindergarten children. The implication of this research is the instructional involving parents model was able to provide an alternative involvement of parents in kindergarten creatively. Therefore, this research recommends having a great numbers of kindergarten involvements for further research
