TATA KELOLA, KINERJA RENTABILITAS DAN RISIKO PEMBIAYAAN PERBANKAN SYARIAH

This research aims to reveal how good corporate governances practices of Islamic banks in Indonesia. This study also examined the ability of good corporate governance practices in increasing profitability performance and in decreasing financing risk. This research used purposive sampling as a sampling technique. Based on the criteria sample used in this research, sample in this research consist of 10 Islamic banks for the research period of 2010 through 2012. Secondary data are used in this research obtained from the financial statement, good corporate governance reports and annual reports of Islamic Banks. This research used composit score of good corporate governance based on Peraturan Bank Indonesia 11/33/PBI/2009. Analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive analysis and multiple regressions analysis. The result of this analysis shows that good corporate governance of Islamic banks in Indonesia have obey the regulation from Bank of Indonesia. Even so, sometimes some banks have not assessed in accordance with reality. Thus, sometimes there is no match between the self assessment score with practices. The result also showed that good corporate governance practices of Islamic banks in Indonesia are not able to improve profitability performances but can reduce financing risk.
