This paper discusses the terms of narration and narrative, i.e. a story, a spoken or written account of events along with the narrative criteria including the existence of a human narrator, the existence of a sequence of events, and the temporal setting of a story. The paper further asserts the difference between the point of view, which is defined as who tells a story, and perspective, which shows how a character with a point of view perceives the story. These principles are analysed in The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater.
