The story about Pyramus and Thisbe in Ovid´s Metamorphoses (IV. book, 55.-166.)

Ovaj se rad bavi mitološkom pričom o Piramu i Tizbi koju je opjevao rimski pjesnik Publije Ovidije Nazon. U uvodnim se poglavljima donose osnovne informacije o životu i djelu autora, o samome djelu Metamorfoze, o motivu prijetvorbe te se kratko uspoređuje s pričom o Romeu i Juliji. Glavni se dio rada odnosi na stilsku analiza i prijevod odabranih stihova u kojima se nalaze ključni elementi priče.This paper is about mythological story about Pyramus and Thisbe which was mastered by Roman poet Publius Ovidius Naso. Introductory chapters provide basic information about the life and work of the author, about the work Metamorphoses, about the motive of transformation and story is shortly compared with story about Romeo and Juliet. The main part of the paper deals with the stylistic analysis and translation of the selected verses in which are the key elements of the story
