The Attic Calendar

U radu se na osnovi antičkih izvora, stručne literature i internetskih izvor predstavlja atički kalendar. Naglasak se stavlja na motivaciju nastanka imena mjeseci prema tumačenju antičkih izvora. Kako su imena mjeseci najčešće bila izvedena od imena svetkovina posvećenih pojedinim bogovima, u radu se ujedno predstavljaju zanimljivosti vezane za te svetkovine. Svaki je mjesec kao i svetkovina bila posvećena određenom bogu s nakanom da se umiri njegova volja ili da mu se ukaže zahvalnost za njegova dobročinstva.In this paper, the Attic calendar is presented based on ancient sources, professional literature and internet sources. Emphasis is placed on a motivation in naming of the months according to ancient sources. Since the names of the months were most often derived from the names of the festivals devoted to certain gods, in the paper are also presented the interesting features of these festivals. Each month as well as the festival was dedicated to a certain god with a purpose to comfort his will or to thank him for his beneficence
