This theses deals with the Zadar golden votive gifts given by the royal couple Louis I. Angevins and Elizabeth of Bosnia. The oldest written documents about Zadar goldsmiths werw dated in the 13 th. century which shows that goldsmith street existed in the town in 1274. The Angevins dynasty as well as queen Elizabeth of Bosnia have left numerous votive gifts in Zadar. Some of them have been confirmed as the royal family donations, while the others haven not. The Chest of Saint Simeon ( 1377.-1380 ) is considered to be a masterpiece of the medievel goldsmith is craft.
