Cilj istraživanja: Cilj istraživanja bilo je usporediti doživljaj boli bolesnika u topičkoj i peribulbarnoj anesteziji kod operacije katarakte nakon ugradnje intraokularne leće. Ispitati postoji li razlika u intenzitetu boli, subjektivnom osjećaju boli (neugoda, oštrina, ublažavanje) i manifestiranju boli (pulsiranje, žarenje, trnjenje, širenje) s obzirom na vrstu anestezije u kojoj se radi operativni zahvat. Ispitanici i postupci: Ispitanici su bili pacijenti nakon ugradnje intraokularne leće kod operacije katarakte u KCB-u Osijek. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 100 ispitanika od kojih je 42 ispitanika operacijski zahvat radilo u peribulbarnoj anesteziji a 58 ispitanika u topičkoj anesteziji.
