My thesis looks at the work of John Osborne, the main representative of the Theatre of Anger and the Angry Young Men Movement, that appeared in the period after the Second World War, in the 1950s in Great Britain. The goal of my thesis is to show the significance of his most important play Look Back in Anger and its main character, Jimmy Porter, for the British theatre in the second half of the 20th century. Through showing examples from the play, this thesis also explains how the belief in the grand narratives, as explained by the French philosopher Jean-Francois Lyotard, gradually disappeared, and the small narratives, constructed by individuals, became more important in the period after the Second World War.U svom završnom radu proučit ć...
