Cyanobakterien spielen aufgrund der Fähigkeit zur Stickstofffixierung und Toxinbildung eine große Rolle für die Wasserqualität der Ostsee. Zur effektiven Beobachtung mittels Satellitenfernerkundung wurde in dieser Arbeit ein modellbasiertes Inversionsverfahren entwickelt, das neben bisherigen Standardparametern die Detektion und Quantifizierung von Cyanobakterien ermöglicht. Mit einem bio-optischen Modell wurden Reflektanzdaten simuliert, die zum Training eines künstlichen neuronalen Netzes für die Inversion verwendet wurden.
