Likopen , pigment je koji rajčici daje crvenu boju. Uobičajeno određivanje koncentracije likopena ostvaruje se klasičnim metodama poput HPLC-a i spektrofotometrije. Iako su metode apsolutne, zahtjevaju skupu i dugotrajnu ekstrakciju pigmenta prije same analize. U ovome radu, predložen je nov pristup određivanju koncentracije likopena. To su Fotoakusticna spektroskopija(FA) sa argon laserom, Fotoakustična spektroskopija(FA) sa Xe lampom i Rezonantna Ramanova spektroskopija. Osnovna ideja jest istraživanje moguće korelacije između koncentracije likopena i veličine signala mjerenih sa gore navedenim metodama.
