In this thesis we will describe into detail the idea of building a tunnel under the sea which would connect the United Kingdom and France. Furthermore, we will discuss the designing, construction and the beginning of the tunnel`s usage. Apart from the construction part of works, a special emphasis will be given to the tunnel`s infrastructure. Moreover, this thesis will provide descriptions of terminals that are on both sides of the tunnel in France and Britain. We will outline the functioning and future development of the Eurostar company that manages the tunnel.
