Given the restriction to water movement in tumours, we evaluated the diagnostic performance of Whole Body Diffusion Weighted Imaging with Background Suppresion MRI for detecting peritoneal ovarian cancer seeding and tumour burden, regionally and globally, compared with cytoreduction surgery, as a standard of reference.
