Work related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) in the neck/shoulder area and the upper extremities are common among computer users, despite the relatively low muscle load levels involved. Muscle pain (myalgia), primarily experienced in the neck/shoulder area, is a frequent type of WMSD.
