Terenski dio diplomskog rada odrađen je od 5. do 10. mjeseca 2009. godine na području jezera Savica. Ciljevi ovoga istraživanja su što bolje utvrditi faunu i rasprostranjenost vretenaca ovoga područja kako bi se dobio uvid u trenutno stanje faune koja bi zajedno sa budućim istraživanjima ukazala na moguće promjene sastava faune vretenaca, a time i ekoloških uvjeta ovoga područja. Tijekom terenskog rada prikupljane su odrasle jedinke od kojih je jedan dio sačuvan u 70% -tnom alkoholu. Ukupan broj utvrđenih vrsta je 12, među kojima najveći broj (6) vrsta pripada najzastupljenijoj porodici Europe, porodici Libellulidae.
