Influence of phytochemicals on cellular detoxyfing system of cells in the culture

U ovom je radu istraženo pet strukturno sličnih flavonoida s obzirom na (i) citotoksični učinak; (ii) promjenu propusnosti stanične membrane; (iii) antioksidativni/prooksidativni učinak; (iv) promjenu bazalne razine ukupnog staničnog glutationa i aktivnosti glutation-S-transferaza; (v) ekspresiju citokroma 1A1; (vi) promjenu ekspresije apoptotičkih proteina. U tu svrhu korištene su stanične linije karcinoma grkljana (HEp2 i CK2), te stanične linije karcinoma grlića maternice (HeLa i HeLa CK).In this thesis, five structurally similar flavonoids were investigated on: (i) cytotoxic effect; (ii) influence on cell membrane permeability; (iii) antioxidant/prooxidant effect in cells; (iv) basal level of total cellular glutathione and glutathione-S-transferases; (v) cytochrome 1A1 expression and (vi) apoptotic proteins expression. Laryngeal carcinoma cell lines (HEp2 and CK2) and cervical carcinoma cell lines were used (HeLa and HeLa CK)
