Musical Improvization and Its Role in the Early Stages of Piano Teching : Pedagogical Insights of Sretna Mestrovic

Rad istražuje povijest improvizacije i mogućnosti njene upotrebe u pedagogiji. U radu možemo naći pregled pedagoga, teoretičara i klavirista-izvođača koji dijele vlsatita iskustva o prednostima korištenja improvizacije u nastavi klavira. Konačno, rad predstavlja konkretne pedagoške pristupe dvoje pedagoga koji koriste improvizaciju u ranom stadiju učenja klavira: Roberta Pacea i Sretne Meštrović.The following research deals with improvisation in music, its history and pedagogical possibilities. After a brief overview of its historical background, it exposes several authors, theorists, performers and pedagogues that share their thoughts and experiences about the advantages of improvisation in the classroom. Finally, it exposes two pianists that have settled a concrete pedagogical approach to improvisation in the early stages of piano learning: Robert Pace and Sretna Meštrović
