The theory of game networks is an original game-theoretical formalism to model complex systems and deal with local interactions. Game network theory is based on strategic games which describe situations of non-cooperative games. In game networks, agents participate to several games simultaneously. The local behaviors, described by the games of the network, are combined to reach a situation of global equilibrium, at the scale of the whole network. Game networks have been used to model some complex biological systems: gene regulatory networks. The model is based on the definition of elementary regulation games (activation or inhibition) which can be combined to form more complex regulations.
