Complex diseases such as cancer andAlzheimer’s are caused by multiple molecular perturbationsresponsible for pathological cellularbehavior. A major challenge of precision medicineis the identification of the molecular perturbationsinduced by the diseases and the therapiesfrom their consequences on cell phenotypes.We define a model of complex diseases, called behavioralreprogramming, that assimilates the molecularperturbations to alterations of the dynamiclocal functions of discrete dynamical systems inducinga reprogramming of the global dynamicsof the network.
