Pregled doprinosa arapske civilizacije srednjovjekovnoj Europi

Rad ne sadrži sažetak.The aim of this bachelor of arts paper is to present the contribution of the Arabic civilization to medieval Europe. Thereby, we tried to summarize a certain share of knowledge and inovations that the Arabs transfered to the European ground. One of the gratest significances of the Arab people was the dicovery and preserving of ancient classic texts that became part of European tradition, and development of rational – scientific principle of research in natural sciences. Eventhough the Arabs spent half a millennium at the European territory, their knowledge became accessible to European people only at the beginning of the twelfth century when language barriers between Arab and Latin were torn down, and by that time the translation activity had increased causing a kind of revolution in European science which led to the Renaissance
