Held in Gallipoli in the period 17-24 June 2017, this edition in the series of conferences "Physics and Mathematics of Nonlinear Phenomena" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the Inverse Scattering Transform method. The main topics of the conference are: 1) Discovery, development, state of the art and perspectives of the IST method: 2) Hamiltonian, geometric and algebraic aspects of integrable systems; 3) Integrable nonlinear equations in physics; 4) Integrability and mathematics. F. Calogero, B. Dubrovin, Y. Kodama, F. Magri and V. Zakharov formed the Scientific Committee. Invited speakers included M. Ablowitz, I. Krichever, V. Matveev, S. Ruijsenaars, K. Takasaki, L. Takhtajan, A. Veselov and C. Viallet
