The transformation of China into an innovation-oriented nation and leading science power is now topping the agenda of Chinese government. Technological innovation is seen at the hearth of this process, and enterprises have been called to be the key driving force of this transformation. The question is: to which extent Chinese enterprises are ready to do so?
