The EU Legal Discourse of Immigration and Political Asylum. A Cross-cultural Cognitive Approach to Accessibility and Reformulation.

The volume is about cross-cultural issues of miscommunication in specialized contexts, i.e. the legal and the economic ones. Its main focus is on texts from the European Union and on their potential inaccessibility to prospective readers, i.e. migrants due to the unavailability and lack of accessibility of the specialized concepts proposed to them. Hence, the need to reformulate the texts according to parameters (both conceptual and textual) that may match with the receivers'own 'schemata'
