Projekty digitalizacyjne w Bibliotece Uniwersytetu Śląskiego

First project is scanning traditional card catalogues. For two years, there have been placed on the University of Silesia Library servers pictures of the card catalogues of the University specialist libraries and alphabetical catalogue. Searching the cards is possible thanks to specially designed program. Second project is Silesian Digital Library – the effect of cooperation of the University of Silesia and Silesian Library as well as 33 institutions from Silesian and Opole voivodeship. In Silesian Digital Library there are placed digital copies of publications stored in the collections of collaborated institutions. For 1,5 year the University of Silesia has placed more than 700 publications i.e. almost 100 000 pages
