The growing body of research relating to emotion and learning generally indicates the significant part that emotion plays in learning. Models of learning online are still being developed. It is important to include the emotional dimension in this development, so that the theory and practice of teaching and learning online can be the richer for it and the more authentic. This paper summarizes the state of research at the intersection of neuroscience and learning, and highlights emotional aspects in e-learning
