Poetycka lekcja czułości : o poezji Emilii Waśniowskiej

Emilia Waśniowska (1954—2005), an early deceased poet of Poznan, is an author of very reflective, touching the deepest problems of human existence, poems: they are written in a simple language, but they never simplify anything, sometimes they are even pierced by an “intense flash of pain” (Małgorzata Musierowicz’s expression). In Waśniowska’s works one may determine “spaces of tenderness”, her lessons “to the inside of matters”. These include a home and family, sacrum, landscape and nature. The whole variety of feelings and emotions: suffering, loneliness, dreams, overcoming fear, joy of life and happiness of the existence; fullness — from childhood to the time of passing, have been inscribed in this delicate, fragile, even filigree poetry in a way which is light, subtle, tender and at the same time distinct, fortifying and strong. Among these areas the first and the foremost is a home, where everything begins, then there is sacrum, and finally landscape. However, they sometimes permeate one another. There is no infantilization in these poems. There is just a childish ardour of feelings, diminutives sound natural, the spiritual space of the poetry is located between this which can be expressed and this which cannot, and not only through motives only. There are no unnecessary questions. There is a great belief and a testimony of faith and a genuine poetic talent. The poet writes about the most difficult matters of faith in a simple way but with a genuine emotion. It is a kind of literature which appeals both to children and adult readers
