On the one hand, the article is devoted to the attempt of reconstructing the usage and meaning of the category of “young age” and “old age” In reference to intergenerational arguments which, at the beginning of the 1990s were published (above all in “Tygodnik Powszechny”). On the other hand, it makes an attempt to examine what is defined as a geriatric discourse and is connected with a more frequent occurrence of text traces of time flow and fear of coming old age in poems by J. Podsiadło, M. Świetlicki and other authors from the “bruLion” circle.
