Unemployment insurance introduced in Poland (also in the territory of an autonomous Silesian voivodship) by the legislation of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland from 18 July 1924 was the first social insurance in the history directed at the unemployed. Firstly it concerned only the blue collar workers and subsequently also the white collar ones.
