Pulmonary metastases (PM) contribute to the high cancer-related morbidity and mortality in patients with solid malignancies including colorectal cancer (CRC). Despite advances in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with early-stage CRC, the optimal treatment of patients with distant metastases from CRC - especially PM - is currently unclear.
