Hintergrund: Die Multiple Sklerose (MS) ist eine häufig auftretende chronisch-entzündliche Erkrankung des zentralen Nervensystems. Das Restless Legs Syndrom (RLS) ist eine neurologische Erkrankungen, die durch Bewegungsdrang, Missempfindungen, Verschlechterung der Symptome in Ruhephasen, Besserung bzw. völliges Verschwinden der Symptome bei Bewegung und einer Verschlechterung nachts charakterisiert ist. Studien aus Brasilien, dem Iran, Italien, Tschechien und Spanien zeigten widersprüchliche Ergebnisse hinsichtlich Korrelation zwischen RLS und MS.
