O ensino das literaturas africanas e afro-brasileira na matriz curricular do curso de Letras, Câmpus Araguaína

Given the persistence of social exclusion of black people - despite the efforts made by the black movement since the years when slavery was legal in Brazil - the federal government has undertaken incisively several actions to promote the inclusion of Brazilian human group since 2003. This promotion aims to bring awareness about these exclusion processes and institutional racism. The research was based upon the assumption that the formation of undergraduate teachers must be included in the discussion of concrete actions regarding to ethnic and race relations. One of the concerns over it is to answer - from institutional documents - if there is a perception of the need to think critically Afrodescendants authors in literature courses and training in the course of Letters. The other concern is to understand how to configure the study of African and african-Brazilian literatures. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and discuss the educational proposals for African and african-Brazilian literatures in the institutional documents of UFT concerning the period from 2003 to 2014, campus Araguaína. The methodology comprised bibliographic and documentary research. We analyzed the educational proposals of the Educational Project Course (PPC) in Letters and most specifically the disciplines: Introduction to African Literatures of Portuguese Speaking Countries; Brazilian literature; Literary Literacy and supervised internship. The result of this research suggests the rethinking about the place that the teaching of these kind of literature occupies in the PPC of the Letters course once considered the lack of the african-Brazilian history and culture in the analysis. The study is a discussion of both theoretical as literary references given the next PPC which is being produced and will include the African-Brazilian literatures in addition to African literatures, which are already listed in one of the disciplines. The delimitation of the research was restricted to the teaching of African and African-Brazilian themes. It was noted, however, during the process of reflection and writing, new investigative possibilities, especially over the matter of quota students and the possibility of a change in the curriculum for the teaching of African and African-Brazilian literature. Such matters pose ideas for future research whose goal is to think about how to qualitatively improve the processes of inclusion of black people at the university through the disclosure of affirmative declared intention in the documents governing the course itself. Therefore, it is expected that future teachers, who will work on basic education, acquire not only knowledge in UFT, but also understand the need to take action to bring such knowledge to their future students.Em face da persistência da exclusão social das pessoas negras, apesar dos esforços empreendidos por meio dos movimentos negros desde os anos em que a escravidão era legalizada no Brasil, o governo federal vem empreendendo de forma incisiva desde o ano de 2003 diversas ações para a promoção da inclusão deste grupo humano brasileiro. Inclusão esta que passa pela conscientização sobre esses processos de exclusão e do racismo institucional. Partindo do pressuposto de que a formação do professor de licenciatura precisa ser incluída dentro da discussão sobre ações concretas no que diz respeito às relações étnico-raciais, surgiram inquietações que motivaram esta pesquisa. Uma delas está em responder, a partir dos documentos institucionais, se há uma percepção sobre a necessidade de se pensar criticamente os autores afrodescendentes nas disciplinas de literatura e estágio no curso de Letras. A outra inquietação está em compreender como se configuram os estudos das literaturas africanas e afro-brasileira. Deste modo, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar e problematizar as propostas de ensino para as literaturas africanas e afro-brasileira nos documentos institucionais da UFT do período de 2003 a 2014, câmpus Araguaína. A metodologia adotada englobou levantamento bibliográfico e pesquisa documental. Foram analisadas as propostas de ensino do Projeto Pedagógico de Curso (PPC) de Letras, especificamente das disciplinas: Introdução às Literaturas Africanas de Países de Língua Oficial Portuguesa; Literatura Brasileira; Letramento Literário e Estágio Supervisionado. O resultado desta pesquisa sugere repensar os lugares que o ensino dessas literaturas ocupa no PPC do curso de Letras, considerando a ausência da história e da cultura do afro-brasileiro nas análises realizadas. O estudo faz uma discussão sobre as referências bibliográficas tanto teóricas como literárias tendo em vista o próximo PPC de Letras, que está em processo, incluindo, além das literaturas africanas, que já constam em uma das disciplinas, a literatura afro-brasileira na ementa. A delimitação da pesquisa se restringiu ao ensino da temática africana e afro-brasileira. Percebeu-se, contudo, durante o processo de reflexão e escrita, novas possibilidades investigativas, especialmente sobre a situação de alunos cotistas e a possibilidade de mudança na matriz curricular para o ensino das literaturas africanas e afro-brasileira. Tais apontamentos ficam como ideias para futuras pesquisas cujo horizonte seja pensar como aprimorar qualitativamente os processos de inclusão das pessoas negras na universidade através da evidenciação de intenções declaradas de forma afirmativa nos documentos que regem o próprio curso. Como desdobramento, espera-se que os futuros professores, que atuarão na educação básica, adquiram na UFT não apenas conhecimentos, mas também compreendam que é necessário ter atitude para levar tais conhecimentos a seus futuros alunos
