EU trgovinske strategije - empirijska analiza instrumenata trgovine

The theme of the bachelor thesis refers to the European Union strategy regarding the trade defense instruments. Accompanying this, the hypothesis is formed. It states that through the usage of trade defense instruments the EU is trying to protect its own market and also provide a valid and fair solution to the subject of investigation. First part of the paper is dedicated to the explanation of theoretical facts regarding trade instruments that EU uses to achieve its goals in foreign trade. The main instruments are going to be explained and also what are the tariff circumvention and the rules of origin. Those terms are often connected with the trade strategy and they are considered to be important in order to better understand the thesis. In the second part, after the theoretical introduction into the rules of origin, they are going to be briefly explained through the practical case of violating the rules of origin: United States -Certain Country of Origin Labelling (COOL) requirements (World Trade Organization 2016). In the third part, the hypothesis based on the empirical analysis, is going to be proven. The case of anti-dumping, on which is based the empirical analysis, is: Imports of bicycles originating in the People's Republic of China bicycles to the EU (Anon 2016)
