The latest researches in international economic history have begun new lines of examining the "globalization" origins, as well as the causes and the relative consequences. In particular, the globalization concept itself can be post-dated and verified by the light of historical events of great importance, occurred during several periods of the humanity Modern and Contemporary Age. The globalization is not a piece of news. In fact, according to an elemental simplification, at list two other periods can be characterized in which the time and spaces terms have deeply changed their character, have been considerably reduced: the New World discovery and the stage of the assumed "industrial revolution".Los más recientes estudios de historia económica internacional han proporcionado nuevas líneas de investigación sobre el origen de la “globalización”, así como sobre sus causas y consecuencias. En particular, el concepto mismo de globalización no es sólo aplicado a la actualidad inmediata, al retrotraerse a la luz de eventos históricos de primera importancia, especialmente en el curso de varias fases de la época moderna y contemporánea de la humanidad. La “mundialización” no es una novedad. De hecho, según una esquematización muy interesante, podemos individualizar al menos otros dos períodos en cuyo término de tiempo y espacio han mutado profundamente sus caracteres, como son: la época del descubrimiento del Nuevo Mundo y la fase de la considerada “revolución industrial”
