Background Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) frequently affects women during their reproductive years. Pregnancy outcome in women with IBD is well described, particularly in retrospective studies. Aim To evaluate the pregnancy outcome in patients with IBD in a prospective European multicentre case-control study.
