During a screening program aimed at the evaluation of antioxidative and antiproliferative properties, as well as nutritional properties of local edible plants, two endemic sweet cherry cultivars ('Del Monte' and 'Della Recca') were of interest. Macronutrient components (proteins, carbohydrates and lipids) of both the cherry cultivars were determined as well as free and total amino acids. Pomological traits were defined.
