Abstract: The correlation between implant design and primary stability is a controversial issue. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of macro design and mini diameter implants on primary stability in different bone densities. Material and method: An in vitro study for four different implant systems (Camlog, DENTSPLY Friadent, BEGO, Biomet 3i implants system). Inserted into mandible, scapula and pelvic of porcine bone which each possess a different bone densities. Followed by primary implant stability measured by insertion torque, removal torque and resonance frequency analysis.
