Rajčica (Lycopersicun esculentum Mill.) je vrlo rasprostranjena povrtna kultura, te su na tržištu dostupni kultivari rajčice za potrošnju u svježem stanju i preradu, za uzgoj u zaštićenim prostorima i na otvorenom. S obzirom da u Hrvatskoj ne postoji oplemenjivački program rajčice i na tržištu ne postoje domaći komercijalni kultivari, cilj ovog rada bio je kroz poljski pokus ispitati nekoliko stranih komercijalnih kultivara rajčice dostupnih na našem tržištu s ciljem izdvajanja kultivara rajčice najboljih testiranih svojstava za uzgoj u obiteljskom vrtu na područu naselja Mikulići u Zagrebu.
