Sr(s)+C(gr)+3/2O 2(g)=SrCO3(s) ΔH298=-56,057 cal. Sr(s)+2H+=Sr+++H2(g) ΔH 298=-130,214 cal. and the entropy of the aqueous strontium ion. S298=-6.3 e.u. 2. The solubility of strontium carbonate in water at 25° C. (0.52×10-4 mol/l.) determined by the electrical conductivity method, and the heat capacities of aqueous solutions of strontium chloride at the same temperature in the concentration range 4.5%-14%, were determined.
