This article summarizes the reports presented at the joint meeting of Japan Society for Science Education and two international organizations on science and mathematics education. All presentations reported the current issue and problems of Japanese commitment to the promotion of science and mathematics education in developing countries (Philippines, Kenya, Indonesia, other Asia and Pacific countries).
